Peace Begins with me…

We had the honor of having Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, as our guest twice last week–once on our Tuesday night call that is a part of our six week “The Easiest Way” series, and again on Thursday for our Weekly Ho’oponopono Q & A Teleclass with Mabel.  It was such a treat and as I said to Ihaleakala, we are feeling very spoiled.

On the Thursday night call, he told us some very interesting stories about his beloved teacher, Morrnah Simeona and that Morrnah had a plaque on her desk, that read “Peace Begins with Me.”

I thought about how amazing it would be if everyone, ALL of us, had those words as the central focus of our lives, the plaque on our desk, through which we experienced, perceived our lives.

Then I remembered that ONLY ONE PERSON needs PEACE to be the central focus of their life in order to experience that Peace in their life…ME! It’s not about changing or fixing anything or anyone. When we do our part and clean, we heal, and everyone else heals too.

Ihaleakala reminds us of the words in the Bible, “Love your enemies,” and explains that  our only enemies are the memories that we bring into this lifetime, the history we bring to this moment, which is always the past, repeating itself over and over again.

If we’re not free of those memories, Whether it’s heart problems, financial problems, relationship, War, then the past replays and we’re stuck.
It’s easy to forget that “Peace Begins with Me.” Perhaps that’s why Morrnah had the plaque on her desk. But if I remember it, as she did…Oh what an even more Beautiful world this will be.
